Patient Room Technologies

About this Service

This service relates to non-clinical (non-critical) technologies involved in/around the patient room.  

The Hill-Rom system allows for patients to call for and communication with nursing staff from the patient bed.  Please place a ticket if you are experiencing issues with this communication.

In the newly built Hospital Pavilion, medication drawers are located at the "Y-station" outside each patient room.  If you are having an issue accessing these Armstrong Medication drawers, please open a ticket here.

Each patient room at Stony Brook Hospital is equipped with a Patient Room TV.  Please open a support ticket if the patient is experiencing issues powering on the display, or difficulty accessing content.

More recently, certain SBAS Locations have begun using the Atmosphere TV solution in their waiting rooms.  If you are experiencing an issue with this specific solution, please open a support ticket.

Additional Information

Any issues with patient care on applications/systems, such as Cerner, Eclipsys or PACS,
SHOULD NOT be submitted through the IT self-service portal.
