Video Conferencing allows two or more people to emulate a person-to-person meeting over the Internet using real-time, multi-directional video and audio streaming. Video Conferencing can be used for team meetings, webinars, product demonstrations, job interviews & more. Typically, video conferencing equipment will include any type of display (laptop, monitor, TV), microphone & camera (or webcam), speakers, and video conferencing software.
SBMIT has adopted Microsoft Teams as the standard video conferencing software. Microsoft Teams allows of integrated collaboration and sharing using your existing Office 365 (email) account. Microsoft Teams can be installed directly on any workstation or laptop, or can be accessible via website.

Zoom is another common video conferencing application, used primarily by Stony Brook University, but also popular among outside companies and vendors.
