What You’ll Do

  • Attend 4 interactive training sessions led by campus subject matter experts
  • Be paired with a new employee for their first 90 days
  • Provide support, connection, and guidance to help them navigate campus

For Supervisors

We encourage you to support this initiative by nominating employees who demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership potential.

New Employee Buddy Program Commitments

By participating in the Buddy Program, I agree to:

  • Connect with my assigned new employee at least biweekly for a period of 3 months
  • Provide informal guidance on university culture, norms, and available resources
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of my buddy
  • Encourage questions, offer support, and promote inclusiveness
  • Participate in brief check-ins or surveys to support program improvement
  • Notify the program coordinator if I am unable to continue participation
