Databases Service

A database is an organized collection of data stored and accessed electronically. We support Oracle and Microsoft SQLServer databases. Our DoIT Database Service team can help you with your university owned databases. Here are the services we provide:

New Database Creation is a service we provide to facilitates the creation of a new Oracle Database or an SQL Server database.

OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a service we provide to manage user identities, groups, and access policies within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enabling secure and controlled access to OCI resources.

Database Access is a service we provide to grant, modify, or remove user access to specific databases, tables and related objects. 

Database Refresh is a service we provide to update a target database by replacing its data with a copy from a source database, typically from a production or backup environment. 

Data Restore is a service we provide to recover lost, corrupted, or deleted data from a backup. 

Database Connection is a service we provide to establish a connection between two database systems using database links for Oracle databases and Linked servers for MS SQL servers. 

One-time backup is a service we provide to create a specific database backup to support scheduled application changes.

Database Firewall is a service that enables secure access to a database server by allowing connections from approved source IPs. It enhances security by blocking unauthorized access at the network level.

Database Decommission is a service we provide to securely retire databases that are no longer required.

Database General Help is a service we provide to support various database-related inquiries, including incident troubleshooting, performance optimization, and guidance on best practices to ensure efficient and secure database management.

OCI Object Storage is a service we provide to create buckets for applications to store files in OCI.
